Life At Future Pathways

The first eigth days have been outstanding and not to mention the days went be quick! I've been here everyday before the schedule time showing how dedicated I am to my work and my teacher's. Attending future pathways is going to help me out tremendeously! It's going to help me graduate on time and if I get all of my work done before graduation time, I can earn even more credits! I have 4 more months left in high school so I plan on working my butt of so I can graduate with my class or i'm going to be highly upset.

Curfew For Teens In Des Moines

I'm all for curfew for the youth for numerous reasons. Instead of staying out all night with friend's doing who know's, you can be home doing work for school or spending time with your family. I think parents need to be more involve in their kids life these days because this generation is all messed up! Some of the cons of having a curfew I think are most teens are not going to be to pleased with this idea and they're not going follow the rules and do what they want, more high school dropouts, teen pregnacies and etc. The pros are good grades form your kids, no gangbangers, and a very happy family!

Overcoming Fear!

The first time I've ever feared anything was when hurricane katrina hit New Orleans , Louisiana on August 29, 2005 and I feared for my life! It was so devasting, I was young didn't know what to do or how to swim if it came to it but luckely the part of new orleans I was in, the water only went up to my thighs. I feared for losing or being seperated from my whole family because we were all in different areas and didn't have no way to communicate. All the power was out, no electricity, no water nor food. In order to survive we had to put our lives on the line and loot (steal) anything we could from the stores without being shot at or getting arrested. I overcame my fears when we all reunited at a shelter that the rest of my family was staying at and from that moment on if anything else was to happen, i wouldn't worry as much because we will all go through it together. After hurricane katrina was over, I felt shock, lost, scared, etc. No words can't explain the different types of feelings I experience through this tragic time but I'm proud to say I survived an I can stand here today say we still standing!

Fun Learning

The first time when I learned apexs and how it operated, was the funest learning experience ever! What made it fun was that all of my friend's were there to help and they didn't know either lol. Apexs gave us a way to earn our credit back from the class that we've failed and had fun doing so. Apexs taught me so many different thing's and I'm so glad I got a chance to experience it!
